NON - COMBAT BOXING
Using the non-combat, technical skills of boxing, we work with the participants to increase their strength, fitness, agility. This leads to a greater physical self-awareness, mindfulness and comfort within themselves. An independent survey found that the majority of our participants report marked improvements in their balance and posture and sense of well-being, along with Improved emotional regulation and ability to relax. They were more confident to speak out in mixed gender or mixed age groups, felt better about themselves, had increased confidence to handle conflict and felt better informed on where to access advice on health and safety issues.
PARTICIPANT LED WORKSHOPS
A culturally sensitive youth program focused on creating internal resilience factors and increased confidence. Using a strengths based approach, to increase protective factors, and willingness to engage with protective supports and networks. Creating healthy mental and physical behaviours and habits.
